Did not get to go for the thunderstorms. Friend with a van did go and liked the large camp site.

This was a pretty rough campsite. The website indicated not to bring any firewood and to purchase it at the campground. This led me to believe there was an entrance station or someone to talk to when checking in. You check into the campsite by filling out a slip at a post - there was no one to talk to. The wood around the area was really wet and wasn't very useful.
I was also looking forward to walking/hiking some of the nearby trails around the campgrounds that the website mentioned. These trails were created in the 70's...and I don't think they've ever been maintained. Really difficult to walk through them - had to turn around pretty soon after we started.
I love to camp, but when it's rough...it can be really rough. We were supposed to stay there 3 nights but left after 1 night. I felt pretty misled by the website's description. if I had know it was so remote, I would have planned better. Pretty area though, so just be prepared to rough it.
