I had such a lovely time here. The campground itself is very secluded and offers lots of nearby activities, one being several trails in and around the site. Our favorite was the Falls of Lana which can be reached by hiking from the campsite, or taking a 20 minute drive down the road. The campsite host was accommodating and knowledgeable about everything in the area. The port-o-potty's at the campsite were also in impeccable condition, I have literally never seen cleaner ones in my life. I cannot wait to revisit.

We had a great stay at this campground. There's no shortage of great things to do and see in the area. Some recommended activities include hiking Mt. Moosalamoo (the trailhead begins at the campground!), walking by the Falls of Lana to take a lap around Silver Lake, kayaking on Lake Dunmore (we rented ours from Branbury State Park) and - if you don't mind a little drive or rock scrambles - climbing to the summit of Mt. Abraham for stunning views of the Green Mountains. On the way home we stopped at Mae's Place in Brandon for breakfast, which served us some top notch eggs Florentine.

The campground itself was well maintained and clean. There are only 18 sites, most of which were tents. Our outstanding camp host, Plyler, was such a friendly presence and gave us many helpful suggestions for what we should do during our stay. Our trip would not have been nearly as memorable if not for him.

We highly recommend this campsite and hope to return in the future.

If you are looking for a peaceful experience in a pretty location with super-friendly camp hosts, this is it. There are numerous hiking trails accessible right from the campground, and in the area, as well as mountain biking trails. The sites are well-spaced and plenty big. I have stayed three times in the past 12 months, and other campers have been quiet and respectful. Check out the Ripton Country Store on your drive to the campground--it is more than 140 years old and sells penny candy, beef jerky, maple syrup, postcards, staples like milk, canned goods, water and more, some cute souvenirs. Don't miss it!
