The campground was really nice. Campsites are close together but beautiful view and good view of the lake. They had cut firewood you could pay for there too which was nice. Bathrooms were clean and heated as I went in. December

Always clean and we love the beauty. Nice campers. Most of all, it's our special place, we got married on the overlook at the visitors center.

Philpott Lake is gorgeous any time of year! Beautiful camp ground that has everything you need.

Let me preface this by saying I usually disperse camp. The sites were too close together with no privacy. But had a good view of the lake and nice ranger. Lots of families (kids) on Saturday , cleared out Sunday and almost empty by Monday. The saving grace were the heated flush restrooms with hot showers.

A beautiful campground! Such a beautiful view from every direction. We had lot 29 and were very happy. Don’t forget to fill up with water first in November. My only complaint was that the dump station was closed so we had to go to Gairy stone campground and pay 10.00 to use theirs.

From HWY 220, take the Bassett, VA exit onto HWY 57 West. Go approximately 10 miles to Goose Point Road. Look for brown Goose Point Park sign, turn right, then go 5 miles on a paved road to the park entrance.
