Beautiful, clean, large sites, most with views of the lake. Clean, well-kept bathroom and grounds.

We live in NC but we typically travel to VA to camp. Goose Point is in our top 3. Loop A has become our favorite as it is quiet and serene. Facilities are great! Good hiking nearby. Papa's Pizzaria in Bassett is worth the trip!

We booked this site at the last minute when our original reservation at a different campground got cancelled! I just loved this campsite on the water! Campfire wood was reasonably priced. Water and electric at the site with a dump station. Hosts were very nice. Gates are closed 10 pm to 6 am

Beautiful, clean. Many sites very tight to get into with trees next to road and opening to campsite.

This is a beautiful campground with many of the sites on the lake. The site we had was level (23 Looc) and shaded. The bathhouse was conveniently located and was well maintained. There is ample parking at the boat dock and a huge pavilion to enjoy larger gatherings or fishing of the dock. There is a short hike on the edge of the undeveloped part of the lake. Our cell service was good. (Verizon). The sunset over the lake was very beautiful. We have stayed here twice and will be back.
Be sure to check out Fairy Stone State Park which is close by. Also there is a 1950’s type gas station (they pump the gas for you) next to the only property where fairystones can be found. He allows parking with some restrictions (pets, smoking, fires, etc) also his gas is at least $.25 a gallon less than any stations around there.

I love the roomy campsites. Lots of nice shade trees. I was glad to see more of the presence of Park Rangers. It’s a great place to camp!!

We are an old, experienced couple camping at Goose Point Recreation Area. As always, it was a beautiful, quiet and nice experience. Always quite at Goose Point Park.
