Clean, well kept campground with spectacular views of the lake and islands. Friendly, helpful staff, attentive to campers needs. Restroom/ showers are well maintained and convenient to all camp locations.

Overall the campground was great. Our camping pad/area was huge and provided plenty of space.

Goose Point is a great campground with friendly campers. The park rangers are helpful and friendly. Most of the campsites have shade. Philpott Lake is clean and clear. The fish weren’t biting but the boat rides were fun. The water was low b/c of lack of rain, but the beach was still usable and the water was deep enough for swimming and playing. The weather was unusually hot. I was happy to have electricity that ran the AC and kept the RV cool. We left 2 days early because of thebheat and were surprised a couple of days later when we received an email about a refund. Certainly was not expecting that. We are looking forward to our next visit in cooler weather.

I think the beach area should be for campers only and closed for day use. The language and behavior from some people made our swimming experience miserable. We had the same experience last year. This could be easily alleviated by closing the area to day use.

I have a small camper, the site was so steep had extremely hard time getting in and hitching up to leave. Have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, even in 4 wheel. The beach swimming are is no longer fun as the day use people are highly vocalizing 4 letter words constantly in front of children and families. I do not feel I can take my grandkids here anymore. This behavior is ongoing and getting worse. The Handicap Bathroom shower does not work, the cleanliness is no longer of the high level it used to be. There is no longer any recycling containers that I saw. The water pressure at the site I was on was extremely high, even with my pressure reducing element. A loud drunk or whatever guy in a pick up truck sped all screech all around the parking lot and thru the campground unstopped frightening many campers. Have camped here for years, it is going downhill fast. What is going on? Hoping things change. The employees are all very good. That's it in a nutshell.

One of virginias hiden campground thats totally awesome , its our favorite always plenty of kids for the kids to play with enough privacy. You don’t feel like you’re stuck up under another camper. Restrooms and showers are usually always clean. Awesome beach.
