First time in this area and campground. Wasn’t sure what to expect after reading some reviews. But we loved it. Campground itself is well kept. Sites are big and private and owners were so friendly and accommodating. People giving this place a bad review - I just don’t see it. I’m glad we took a chance. Only downside I can see is - not much for kids to do - but for us -2 adults - no kids - wanting to relax near the water and in mountains - this place is a good one ! We will be back.

My Husband and I went for Easter weekend and had a great time. Clean campsite and very friendly Owner/family who runs it. It was a very peaceful and quiet stay. If you asked my husband his favorite part was the chocolate milkshakes lol. We had an Electric site with River view it was beautiful and the sounds of the river were so relaxing. We have already talked to in laws about taking a family camping trip here. I can not wait to be back (:

We booked this campground at least a week in advance and even called to make sure it had all the accommodations we needed for our camper and were informed that it didn’t have a septic at the site but a dump station when you pull out, and that is the only hookup accommodation we were informed of. We arrived very late after a long drive, only to find that the place looked extremely unkept and our assigned site had no water hookup anywhere, which we were not informed at all about. the only water connections we saw were taken by the rented campers. After walking the entire campground trying to find one, we gave up and left for a different campsite.
The next morning, we called the owner to explain what happened and politely asked for our deposit back since the site didn’t fit the accommodations we thought it had. She insisted that the lack of water hookups was “not implied but conspicuous” and made it clear she intended to fight any dispute. She was nothing but rude and short on the phone, her campground is dirty, sketchy and far from welcoming. I would recommend anywhere else than this campground.

The tent sites themselves are really nice, especially the ones right next to the river. There is also direct river access for kayaking, which was great. The cut through trail from the tent sites to the bridge was convenient for taking walks on the other side of the river.

However, other things are severely lacking with this campground. The porta potties close to the tent sites were dirty enough that my husband took disinfecting wipes and wiped all four of them down. There was no toilet paper in any of them until someone in our group requested it. The main bathrooms are rundown, dirty, gas station-like bathrooms. The bathrooms don’t have mirrors or any real place to store personal items while showering except two small hooks on the wall. To top it all off, the owner’s wife was unnecessarily rude/condescending/hostile on more than one occasion. I don’t know why someone who seems to hate dealing with people is in charge of running a customer service business. This campground could be a lot nicer if some basic updates to the bathrooms were made and the owner’s wife took an interpersonal skills course.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE – STAY AWAY FROM LOW WATER BRIDGE CAMPING!

We drove three hours with our family to this campground, only to be treated in the worst way possible. They tried to charge us twice for one night of camping, and when we refused to pay the extra charge, they kicked us out of the campground! That meant another three-hour drive back with our entire family, completely ruining our trip.

They claim to be “family-owned,” but they clearly don’t care about other people’s families. What kind of business throws people out just because they won’t agree to being overcharged? Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

This place is dishonest, rude, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT come here. They are horrible, and no family deserves to go through what we experienced.
