What Guests Are Saying

Group Camp B is a spacious and well-maintained site ideal for large groups, though the car parking is about 100 yards from the fire ring and tent pads, necessitating multiple trips for gear. It is conveniently located near excellent backpacking trails and primitive campsites, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby river and Signal Knob loop offer beautiful views, particularly in winter.

Group Camp B is a large, well maintained car camping site with an unusual twist. Your car will be about 100 yards from the actual fire ring and tent pads. Still close enough for kitchen-sink level of car camping though you'll be making a few trips to get it all in place.
It's close to very good backpacking trails with lots of good primitive campsites here and there.
We went to Strasburg reservoir and back on a loop and it was all good! With the leaves down, we could really see out and around in the woods. Best enjoyed in the winter.

Excellent for large groups. Be sure to bring wagons to bring your gear from the car to the campsites. River is right nearby and the Signal Knob loop is a very good hike with beautiful views.

We Reserved both group campsite A & B for our Boy Scout weekend campout. This is a very nice campsite with a lot of room for the scouts to have space for tents and for scout activities. Bonus in the small circle between the two group campsites is a set of four bear boxes for food storage. The scouts got to witness wildlife as well that just passes through the campsites, frogs, toads, deer and a single black snake we got to watch climb a tree likely looking for food. Our troop will definitely be returning to this campground in the future.

We Received an email for each site reservation that had the combination for the lock on the gate so we had zero access issues.
