Excellent campsites and well located to Dickys Ridge and Hawksbill hikes. Both areas you need to drive to and lots of overlooks to take in on the way. The campground only filled up on weekends and otherwise was pretty empty during our time in May.

Really enjoyed my stay! Super convenient camp store with showers made it even better. Just beware you’ll get to know your neighbors. The campground is small and intimate.

Nice site set back from the road. Pad was big enough for two small tents

There are a lot of great sites to choose from. We’ve stayed C157, and this time at C155. Both are great tent sites. This campsite has several trails nearby, including a hike to Elkwallow to grab lunch and continue on the trail.

These campsotes are beautifully maintained, and the campground and facilities are very clean. The bear boxes are easy to use, and a wonderful safety feature. Our late arrival caused us to check ourselves in, and that went smoothly. It's a lovely campground.

Very nice campground that was sparsely occupied on a Wednesday in mid May. Our site was level with nice screening on both sides. Bathroom was adequate.

I enjoyed my stay. I had site A30; the space is definitely for a hammock or car camper. Bear box at every sight and close to the restrooms. Proximity to many hiking trails. I went to Elkwallow Wayside (2 miles south) to resupply and ate dinner there. I have T-MOBILE as my cell provider, and had no service. I went down to Hogback Overlook to make a phone call with excellent service. My neighbors were friendly and everyone observed the quiet times.
