This park is beautiful and very clean/well kept. We had the pleasure of staying on site 11. Be mindful that this is a small site. Perfect for a small tent, but if you have a canopy, you will not have room unless you don't want to use your fire pit. We were camping with friends and were able to use their fire pit. The water front sites were beautiful. There had been storms just before our trip and a lot of debris was in the water and the water level continued to rise while we were there. We had to move our tend up the driveway of the site for the last day to make sure we didn't end up in the water overnight. We LOVED having direct access to the lake for our water toys, paddleboards and kayaks. There is absolutely no trees or shade on this site...be prepared to bring canopies and create shade if you need it. Water spigot is not too far away and the bathroom nearby us was always clean and well kept. Shower pressure at the shower house was great in one shower. Be mindful there are only four shower rooms but it is a small campground and we had no trouble ever getting one. The gentleman at check in / camp host was incredible. Very friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. We had a good time. We may consider a water electric site next time for more space and shade.

Our Family loves this Park! It’s clean, the staff is friendly, the campsites are spacious, we can park the boat on the shore of the campground…the public beach is beautiful and we all enjoy the sandbar and being able to tube right in-front of the campground and beyond. The 4 bathroom/shower rooms are private and clean with warm water and there is never a waiting line! My only recommendation is that each of the private bathhouses had at least a ceiling fan to help circulate the air (especially when showering) as it gets very humid in the bath house during and after a shower…where you feel sticky even after just showering because I gets so hot and humid in there:/ Other than that, this is my favorite local Army corps campground in the Mecklenburg, VA area:)❤️

Goose Point is a very interesting park, it’s a unique park in the mountains with a beautiful lake. The drive into the park once your off the main highway can be a little challenging, the road has some steep and curvy parts to it. Our site was located in Loop C and the road down to the site was very steep with a 90 degree corner, for the most part the sites are small, close together and anything over 35-38 feet can be challenging to get into the site, but in can be done, also the all sites very from from slight to moderate level, I was on site 12 with a 30 foot camper and my ball hitch was 36 inches high from the ground, thankfully I had auto level and some extra blocks and was able to make it work. Overall the park is clean and well maintained. The bath house was nice and clean. The lake is beautiful. My only complaint would be all of the Bass Boats running back and forth at 6:00am in the morning.
