We camped during the last open week of camping and had only one visible neighbor. The park was clean and the facilities were in camp usable condition. We wanted to camp at Lake Moomaw, however, there is no direct access to the lake from this campground. We followed trails hoping to get to the lake, but they all basically paralleled the campground. If you have a driveable camper, it will be necessary to move your camper to get to the lake.

Overall we had a great time hiking down to the lake and exploring. There was gorgeous fog covering the entire campground on both mornings. Would definitely stay here again!

The only negative comment I would state is that the trails are not maintained or marked well. Several times we had to backtrack on the loop trail that goes along the lake. The brush needs to be cut back also. Otherwise, it is one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed in. It was so quiet you could hear the leaves falling. A true gem.

We were lucky to stay a couple nights mid-week so we had the place mostly to ourselves. It was right after a packed Labor Day weekend and the campground and restrooms were very clean and well stocked. The hosts were friendly and attentive and even came to tend to some bees at our site. We stayed in spot 32 which is not directly across, but just close enough to the restrooms. There is a playground next to the restroom, which was a pleasant surprise with two young kids in tow. We'll definitely revisit Morris Hill!

Wonderful spot with great management. We had been to a lot of family camping spot but this was one of best. Peaceful neighbours, great hiking trails and beautiful sites to explore like meemow lake, Beach point and Falls nearby.

Loved the campsite itself. Sadly some of the other guests wanted to party all night long, loud music and singing and loud talking. Camp host no where to be found. Not the first time. Bottom line don’t come here in the summer if you want any peace and quiet.

This was a great camp ground. We had plenty of room for all our equipment to fit and still room to play. Really nice fire pit and picnic table. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Nice play ground with slide and swings. Over all nice place and we will stay there again.
