Very nice campground with some very neat and historical things to do around it. My only recommendation for the campground would be if there was dishwashing sinks outside the bathrooms and that the water in the showers was a little hotter. The campground was clean and the bathrooms/showers were very nice and kept clean. There was plenty of space between campsites and the paved RV spots were nice. Make sure to eat at Ike's Artisan Pizza in Middlesboro! They have great pizza and really good craft beer on tap. Hiking to the Tri-State point through Cumberland Gap, hiking to Skylight Cave, and going to Martin's Station at Wilderness Road State Park are musts. We wanted to try hiking to Sand Cave but our children were to young so we will try that one next time.

The campground is one of the nicer we’ve visited. Only spent one night. Very close to Cumberland Visitor Center and trailheads. Sites are fairly level and separate from each other. Very peaceful and serene. The camp hosts were very accommodating when we had questions about the area. I would definitely recommend this park.

The campground was great, clean with nice bathrooms. The nearby Tri-State peak trail was great, as was the Cumberland Gap National Park visitor center. We needed to change our campsite, luckily it wasn’t busy, because the incline on the site was so steep that we couldn’t get our camper off our trailer hitch. I know the website mentioned inclined sites, but we underestimated how steep they would be, even when looking at pictures of the sites.

I loved the park. There were a bunch of trails and the park rangers were friendly. I stayed there about a week doing a working trip. It was nice to be out in nature and away from the house while I worked. My site was sloped which made it a little difficult to set up but not impossible. I would definitely stay here again.
