I love staying at salthouse branch when I attend the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival at Ferrum College. It is very well maintained and kept. Just needs better maps or more trail maps for the reservoir trails.

Great park, not very many spots for big rigs. We were in #11, 40 ft 5th wheel and fit fine. 2 boat ramps, great kayaking. Camp Host were very nice, would visit again.

Quite during the week, popular on the weekends, nice camp hosts. Didn’t attempt to use rv dump it seems to be setup for shorter rvs and exiting the rv dump station area would’ve been difficult.

Found a 6 foot black snake in the men’s bathroom. But the main problem was barking dogs all weekend.

Always enjoy Salthouse, always clean and secure. Have met some real nice people from out of state and local. I would recommend Salthouse Branch campground to everyone to try at least once. Also, parked there when I camped on Deer Island. Very nice
