Clean, quiet, beautiful, and great facilities. Especially enjoyed FSR 84 right outside the gate.

Very much enjoyed camping here. Sites are nice and the campground is well kept. Location was great for the hiking I had planned there was also some nice trails right from camp.

Host was very helpful. Beautiful campsite. Bath House very clean and nice hot showers. Campgrounds are well maintained. I would highly recommend staying at this site.

Hurricane Campground has been one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Clean restrooms, spacious and peaceful campsites, and friendly camp host. The directions to get to the campground were easy to follow. The showers had lukewarm water and were very clean as well. The camp host would ride around about three times per day checking on the campsites and checking on everyone before dusk, which made us feel even more comfortable staying at the campground. There are a couple of places to grab firewood about 20-25 minutes nearby; however, we grabbed the most from Corner Market Cafe and Grayson Highlands General Store - which had good and dry firewood. During our stay, we hiked the Wilburn Ridge via Appalachian Trail at Grayson Highlands State Park, and it is worth the 45-minute drive. There are many other hikes in the state park, but we were short on time. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning to Hurrican Campground in 2023!

Absolutely beautiful campground - the creek is gorgeous and you can fall asleep to the sounds of the water every night. We were at site 19 which was one on the water (multiple of them are). Fairly private but can see guests on either side of you. But some of the other campsites closer to the entrance were tucked back in the woods and very private. Great hiking trails through the campground and just an overall wonderful experience - definitely hope to return!
