What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Like the way the campsites are positioned to maximize views. Staff always friendly and willing to help. This park never disappoints.

We have been camping at this park for many years, and had a wonderful time.
This trip we noticed that the grounds staff seemed over worked as the greens needed
mowing and there were weeds every where. The lack of watering was also evident as
there was many places that were dry . The marina area was in much better condition than
the park.

We have stayed at this park for years. The last couple of years we have noted some changes that are affecting the park. The grounds are not being taken care of very well. The grass is not being watered and taken care of nearly as well as it used to be. We have found trash on our site,
(used air freshioners and a rag). Lastly, some of the best sited are blocked off for volunteers and set empty all weekend. Thsi practice just doesn't seem right. We love this location but we don't like the changes from hired camp caretakers to paid camptakers.

I think having to take your garbage out to the entrance at charboneau and not at hood is kind of weird

Park has a lot more dry grass areas. The garbage cans are now at check in and you have to walk it to them when before they were placed around the park. The road around the sites is almost turned to gravel. The park overall including bathrooms were clean and the host were very friendly.
