What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

We stayed in a tent. They run sprinklers daily, so you have to be careful where you place your tent. Campground had a lot of bugs at the sites. We were downhill from the bathroom building so it was quite a hike up to it. You also have to move your tent every two days to keep the grass from dying. Having electric hookup was nice but they also lock the gates from 10pm to 6am so you can't get in or out, which we didn't really feel super comfortable with.

Perfect experience except for the annoying lawn mower guy, that really didn’t know what he was doing.

Love being on the water. Great area for boating, paddle boarding, swimming. Mature trees make lots of shade. Beautiful sunrise to sunset. We were able to have our family grouped all together. Bathrooms were always well kept. However, Please be careful of goatheAds .. also called tack weeds. They are starting to take over and I don’t want the seeds to keep spreading and ruin the beautiful park !!

The campground is beautifully located. There is not much privacy between camp sites.

Staff was great, we just had complete imbeciles (put nicely) on each side of us.......its a product of being a close playground to Pasco. Probably will not go back unless we can reserve a drive through on the outer loop where you have some privacy.

Love this park! We’ve been coming here for over 30 years. I like it that they have started improving some of the sites. I am really happy to see the season has been extended through September - Just wish I knew that ahead of time before I made other plans.

Was a lovely campground. Nice and clean quiet and the lake was beautiful. Yes the road coming in needs a fix. Not a good road. Camp hosts nice and helpful. Thank you

All as expected, it’s just a shame that the grass cannot be green in the campsite although I’m sure with such heavy use it is t possible to keep it alive. We have been coming for about 27 years so we have seen much evolvement in growth, use and population. Also the pests have changed from feral cats to skunks to raccoons and now the fox are getting closer.

I have been coming to charbonneau park for the last 30 years. It’s always been a great family experience of camping and boating in the beautiful park.
After our last visit, we will never be back. Dirty. Weeds. Dead grass (not even grass anymore). Spiders everywhere. Dead trees. Pitiful.
