What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Arrived late afternoon, no one appeared to be at the check-in booth so we went and found our reserved spot. Soon after, the host came by and checked us in. We had a lovely site (#45) although it was a bit of a walk to the restrooms. The only knock on our review is the thorns in the nearby paths - glad we checked our shoes before tracking them into our RV.

Great site right next to the river. Quiet campground. Hard coyotes at night. Owl in tree at my site. Saw barge and float plane on river. Grass was green and healthy. Bathroom facilities were adequate and clean. 30 amp outlet was non-functional, but I had an adapter.

The park is beautiful. The host are friendly and the rest rooms are very clean. It was great to be invited to tour Ice Harbor dam. I wish they would not close the park so early,it is still good weather to camp.

Large sites with full hook-up. Shady and green, with nice views of the lake.
Showers were lame, so plan on using the one in your RV.

Beautiful location and park! Mature shade trees and Snake River views, and peace and quiet (except for the occasional passing train...). Very friendly hosts, too (Rick and his wife). Great experience all around and will return!
