What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

We were able to snag a last minute campsite here, overlooking the Snake River. Itβs a beautiful location, great facilities and nice separation between campsites. Will definitely plan a visit again.

I've camped at this park several times. It's usually wonderful. But booked a site this time that I was very disappointed in. I'll still go back, but will choose a different site.

Nothing really to report, it was pretty easy to do.

The campsite was amazing! 180 degree views of the river. Couldnβt have been a better site. Why Iβm not giving the complete experience 5 stars is because upon checking in to the campground, the attendant said, βJust so weβre clear, there is no alcohol or drugs allowed on the property.β Not sure why a person couldnβt have a beer while camping. It was an unusual rule that I was surprised to hear. I like beer so I probably wonβt return.

the camping area was too far away from the water access for swimming, fishing or boating

Nice campground with friendly staff. My site and the next had dead trees so there was no shade for us but the rest of the park was green and had shade trees. Entry, exit and pump out was easy to use and bathrooms were clean.

This campsite was beautiful with views of the lake. Campsites were spacious and provided water and elecxtricity. This was all available for a reasonable cost. The bathroom had free showers which was very nice. I was also happy with the safety of the campground as I was bikepacking and only had my bike and limited gear. i would definitely go back to this campground again!

Great location on the Snake River for boating and all kinds of water related activities. The campground is well kept but we did notice that there are several trees dying due to some sort of blight or something. One oddly was that our site did not have piped water and there was no mention of it when we reserved the spot. Otherwise a great spot to watch all the river traffic and so forth.
