What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Love this campground. Close to towns with different activities including wine tasting and amazing restaurants. Dayton, Waitsburg, Walla Walla & Tri-Cities. Fishing is fun and biking. Play ground is on opposite side of whole park but drive or ride to it. Only wish the showers both worked better in the womens. Right side is fine. Left side, water hardly comes out.

Very nice park. Nice setting, clean, quiet, right on the river/lake. You are a ways from things if thatβs what you like, we didnβt mind at all. We stayed one night, passing through, and would for sure go back.

Thus is such a peaceful place. They let me switch spot at the last minute. They need more spots with full hookup.Other then that it's a great place to relax

Beautiful place, very well maintained. Highly agricultural, after driving through the barren moonscape to the west. Train noise, but that is beyond anyone's control. We hope to return, but it's a long way from Florida.

Sites 42 and 45 close to water. Watch out for Rattlesnakes. We saw a small one warming on concrete of fire pit last year Labor Day and a 2ft one this year at site 42 Labor Day. They come out of the long grass at dusk to find a good spot to warm up. Many kids and dog walkers use the area between 45 and 42 after dark so be watchful. Tossed a few pebbles towards it and it retreated into the long grass. Yes, it was a rattler, not a Bull Snake

The location is great. The campsites are clean and well maintained. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Not being a dog owner, I appreciate the way they make sure that dogs are on their leashes. The showers are okay, and the water gets hot! I will come here again!

The campground is well maintained. From our site on the hill, we could see the lake as well as country. Staff were very clear on expectations of guests.
