What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Quiet, peaceful environment by the Snake River. Well maintained campground, spacious individual sites. But, little privacy from site to site. Long way to walk on fairly tall grass to reach the bathroom in the middle of the campground. Bathroom is very clean. Most suited to RV camping (paved or deep gravel ground; limited areas suitable to put up tent).

We really liked the campground BUT we didn't like that there is no water hookups. You have to bring your own water.
Also, the boat launch situation is wild. So many people are very rude, selfish, and/or don't know what they're doing. It was the most frustrating boat launch experience we've ever had. Also I wish there was a way to hook up your boat for a couple of hours to go eat lunch or something. It's frustrating that you have to pull your boat out just to go eat or take a break.

Other than the fact that they were understaffed it was a pleasant experience

We spent one week at Charbonneau Park in a motorhome. Sites are large, level and most are partially shaded. Our site had full hook up. The park is clean with great views of the Snake River/Sacajawea Lake. Calm at night. Day-use area and beach are a plus. The bathroom facilities are clean.
Closest food stores are about 25 min away.
Recommended activities: REACH museum in Richland, Walla Walla visit, Palouse Falls.
