What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

Campground sprinklers flooded our site every day. The last day the power went out to the entire park. You must fill your fresh water tanks as many sites are electric only. However, it was nice to have 50 amp service so we were able to run both AC units in our RV.

We have been coming to Charboneau for 30 years and have seen the upkeep slowly go down. The grass by the camps is mostly weeds and not mowed like it used to be a bathrooms. Need an upgrade and are not cleaned like they used to be. every year there seems to be in different varmint, and this year, the raccoons were obnoxious.

Clean campground - best for RVs. Put up my tent on the grass - cause tents go on grass and got sprayed by the sprinkler system. Also no direct access to the water - you need to walk 1/2 mile to get to a place where you can swim.

We've always loved camping at charbonneau. This time, we had a little different experience. When we arrived, there was a large park sprinkler in our campsite, everything was soaking wet. We had to park in the street for close to 30 minutes until someone came and turned it off. This delayed us getting started with our quick 24-hour camp out that we had planned. Also, there was a large family reunion camping near us, they pretty well commandeered the water spigot. Throughout the time we were there they were washing dishes, and body parts, including laundry. I would suggest a sign to let people know that water spigots are only for obtaining water. Not doing all of the above. It seemed unsanitary. The park is pretty, and we enjoyed bicycling to icicle dam.

Over all it was ok the park itself is pretty good it’s a little rundown bathrooms could use a face lift. It is under staffed but the people who work there are very friendly and nice. The sites themselves are good roomy if you can get a spot with all the hook up’s your much better off.

Nice quiet campground that is poorly maintained. Campsites dry with dead grass and they are growing more goatheads/ puncturevine than grass. Disappointed that they can’t spray and water our parks. They said I could not move into my site until 2 pm because they had to water. Okay, but they didn’t water my site.

Great park. Staff are fabulous and very accommodating. Really popular & difficult to get a reservation here in July. The restroom is in need of a huge upgrade & the trees have a fungus that is killing them, so shade is becoming a premium.

We enjoined our stay there. We go at least one a year or more. Our son came and had a great time walking around the park and visiting with other campers. We also like to do that.
