beautiful awesome grounds, however, we were a little disappointed that the water and beach at the swimming area was kinda green. The weather was very warm and a swim would made this park near perfect.

We will be back and hopefully the water conditions will be better.

This camping experience was awesome and I really appreciated how family friendly it was, although there was some slight disturbance by the closeness of camps. Technically we could have distanced our tent but then we would have been further from our fire-pit. Definitely a place worth visiting again and bringing along family and friends. Nice facilities, nice staff. As a semi-novice camper myself, perhaps I just missed the note about the one way loop around in my skimming, but the staff was kind in their redirection and it was nice to see a presence from park staff. Awesome overall.

Unfortunately when we camped there was so many flies it made it hard to eat outside. We were also over run by spiders, many of them tried to come home with us. But the worst part was our kids were unable to play at the river the swimming area had so much algae and the roped of area was very tiny.

We love Hood Park. We have been coming here for many many years and plan to come back for many more years.
We were very disappointed in the lack of cleaning in the shower area of the restrooms. The toilet and sink areas seemed to be attended to but the disgusting conditions of the shower area was a disappointment.
Send the park ranger in there to inspect the showers, drains and especially the window ledge which seem to be a collecting point for dirt and garbage.
Give me a hose and long handled scrub brush and I'll do a way better job next time we are there.
The vent screen over the ceiling fan is also disturbing...not sure what is up there.
I know the feed back is gonna be we don't have the budget but if these areas were cleaned properly once a quick 2 minute cleaning would keep the areas clean!

Hood Park Campground is a favorite of mine. The large trees shade the campground. The grass is well-manicured, and the spaces are generous. There is a day-use area next to the campground with a beach on the Columbia River, and many birds to watch.
