What Guests Are Saying
Fort Spokane is praised for its beautiful, spacious campsites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a great spot for family camping and outdoor activities like fishing and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere and easy access to amenities such as water and boat ramps. However, some concerns were raised about noise from partying campers, availability of toilet paper, and the need for more law enforcement presence. Overall, the campground offers a pleasant experience, especially for those looking for a peaceful getaway.

for the past 20 years I have been leading a boy scout 50 mile canoe trip with our first night at the group site at Ft spokane it was a beautiful area and Tuesday our departure date it was usually available. This year I tried for 6 months to get reservation and the reservation desk had no answer as to why it was not available. we reserved site 35 and 37 in the back loop. when we arrived I spoke to the camp host who told us the government decided to make both group sites day use area only. My Question WHY? leave at least one group site open for groups such as ours. site 35 and 37 had sort of been field mowed but was mostly course grass, stubble no shade lots of dirt. Then the trail to the dock is steep and long and having to carry 8 canoes and gear for 16 people is not pleasant. with the group site you can walk 50 feet on nice grass and set in canoes in the water and load gear. 35 and 37 are miserable places to camp.

It was really hot but just used that time to be in the water at the day use area.

I've been visiting Fort Spokane campground since I was a little girl and love it just as much. The campground and swim area is nice.

Great place to camp, however, too many boaters do not honor the no wake zones

I wasn’t aware from the website in booking the camp site that it was a walk in - a very long walk in - and was disappointed- but the campsite was clean and quiet and we did still have a great time - just the long hike when setting up and taking down was exhausting- I’ll choose a different spot for sure next time

All good until it rained.Never camp in camp 38. It sits in a hole and when it rains your are in about 3 inches of water. The rest of the camp ground was great. Boat launch is great with lots of parking on weekends that are not holidays.

Nice open feel, with tall old evergreens shading most campsites. No hookups - and THEY MEAN IT; I was chastised for using a "Water Bandit" type adapter to hook up a hose long enough to fill up my tank - 10 min, not permanent. "No backflow preventer" was the reason. Uh, OK, but I'm watching and controlling it for the 40-gallon fill...
Anyway, all friendly and nice. Park is kept very clean, as are the restrooms - but there are no showers. The camping is largely an annex to the boat launch and boating activities. Nice picnic area and swimming beach within 1/2 mile from campsites.
Beautiful and long fireworks display on July 2 by Two Rivers Casino, across the river and down a mile, best viewing area is on Fort Spokane Campground's swimming beach or adjacent park.
Convenience store located at the Casino, and another smaller independent one a mile back East along the highway. Propane and gasoline available; prices were what you might expect.
Some Verizon cell and SMS service, but 3G/4G data so intermittent as to be practically nonexistent despite 1-bar indications.
