Large campsites, camp host was very personable and did not bother our group at all other than to check on us every now and then. I didnt realize that the swim area was across the road though which was difficult for my 85 year old mom who only likes to sit in her chair, in the water and read. A bit of noise from the highway traffic but not noticeable at night at all.

This was my 3rd time staying at this camp ground. Really enjoy this area and so much to see & do. HOWEVER, I was really upset or surprised by the lack of people not showing up or cancelling last minute. I stayed in camp 51 this time due to most of the camp sites were booked when i made reservations originally. There were a total of 6 campers our first night and 3 campers the 2nd and 3rd night, I mean really? Last year during year two of peak covid, this place was packed w/maybe a handful of sites that were empty.
My favorite two camp sites were booked when i made reservations during early booking, but apparently one cancelled last minute and the other was a no show, so disappointing for those who might have wanted to say here but were not able to. With the few camp sites left or available, i picked camp 51 and it was so close to the site next to us, that it was uncomfortable. Out of the 6 people camping in the whole site, 4 of us were all next to each other, so didn't like that at all. The camp host said we could move the 2nd night as many had cancelled last minute or just didn't show up....but didn't feel like moving our tent and canopy. If you can't make it, please just call and cancel or cancel online so others who might have been turned away or wanted to stay at their "favorite" site can do so.
Really clean camp site, bathrooms were cleaned daily and stocked. Lots of dumpsters to dispose of your garbage before leaving. Bring your own soap/sanitizer, as there is none. Fishing was great, lots of short hikes/trails that led to a beach area and another up to Ft Spokane historical site. People were very friendly as always and the camp host this year was an adorbs older gentlemen, he made our stay exceptional this year with his kindness.
