Generally a quiet and secluded small campground but it has its downsides. The tent sites on the upper loop are very worn and way too small to allow anything but a small tent. The boat ramp can be busy and very disruptive, especially by the early morning launchers who let their engines run and make no effort to keep their headlights off campers and tents. Parking is very limited in the boat ramp area and there can often be a lot of parked vehicles clogging up the lower campground. Particularly distressing is the use of the small campground dumpster by locals dumping their residential garbage. There is a large sign on the dumpster that reads "campers only" yet the locals feel it is their personal waste transfer station, disgorging many bags of garbage every day. Evidently some people in Stevens Country have no problem letting the government pay for their garbage disposal.

Camp site 1 indicates it can have a 26 ft trailer which is not the case un less you back up all thr way down the lane.
It is very small and should have on the app that only small units can be assessible

Had a great time!!
Only issue I had was all the dead fish in the water by the swim dock.
I think they were fish that had been cleaned and filleted there and carcasses thrown in water.
It stunk and no one would swim there.
Other than that we had a quiet relaxing weekend.

Lovely relaxed place with family. No beach for little ones, but we didn’t need that. Will go back!

Campground is very small. Very little space for taking walks. There is a railroad track directly adjacent to the campground. There are generally 2 trains a day. They travel very slowly, maybe 5-10 miles an hour at most, but can be quite loud if you in the lower area. The boat ramp is busy and early launchers with loud trucks and headlights will drive you nuts. Launchers here tend to leave their trucks running and their headlights on while launching which is not cool at 330 AM. Boat ramp parking is very inadequate. The whole lower area gets really congested at times, especially on sunny weekends. Locals use the upper camping area for cliff diving and swimming, and if you are tent camping in sites 8-11 you will likely not be happy campers, especially if you like things relatively quiet. Also those tent sites have very limited flat space for tents. Certainly can't accommodate large families or groups of more than a few people. Cars can jam the upper circle on sunny afternoons, making parking and ingress/egress almost impossible at times. National Park Service does a nice job, and restrooms are cleaned daily. Garbage cans are usually emptied and clean too, except when some uncaring fisherman throws fish guts in the hot dumpster, creating a stinking mess for everyone else to smell. There are no hookups or and no potable water available and most of the sites available to RV's are quite small. If you need your cell phone, be advised it is extremely limited and comes and goes all the time (mostly gone). I'd advise if you are not good at backing up your trailer, go elsewhere, and stay out of the upper area as turn around is very limited at best and impossible if more than one vehicle is parked there. On the plus side, the river/lake is beautiful, and the water is cool and clear.

Water in camp ground was not turned on. Water level was way to low to launch a boat at North Gorge. Paid in advance launch fee. Other campers Dogs we’re running loose. I have no problem with dogs off leash if they stay with there owner but these dogs even small ran all over the camp ground
But bath house was clean and so was the campground.I really like north gorge.

Pay online before you go!!! The campground must be paid online. Well, there’s no cell service there. You have to drive 20 minutes back to get cell service. I was able to get a phone call out to pay by phone. Took 20 minutes to get through and got transferred twice. Campground is just “ok”. The water was so low in May that it was a little hike to get to the river. $23 seems expensive for no hookups, no water. Just paying to park overnight. Meh.
