Beautiful campground and park. Peaceful, nice roomy, shaded sites. Easy in and out process. My only complaint is no hand soap in the restrooms. Also a heads up the line to get in the park can take a while so take that into account of travel time. Would love to come back.

We arrived at the entrance around 9.40 AM and ended up waiting in line for 2 hrs 45 min. The first toilets were super full and unusable, clearly not properly managed, the last ones were fine but had to walk to them since line was crawling so slow. Overall, this initial impression ruined the whole experience. Campsite was nice, trails good, but not worth this sort of wait. I wish it was better managed to either accommodate everyone or have reservation system of some sort to not allow so many cars to day use at one time. Or allow people with reservations to enter separately. Never again

Lovely destination. My campsite said the parking pad was “severe” (whatever that means) but it is quite flat besides a big tree root breaking through the asphalt. I drove over it with a passenger car. Also it rained 2 days I was there but it’s a rainforest so I shouldn’t have been surprised really. There was Cricket cell phone service on some of the drive to the campsite after the turn off 101. Service on 101 is great. I saw elk, deer, and a grouse and her chicks. I also saw alotta people. Early July on a Monday around 2:00 there was a 1-hour wait to get past the ranger entrance station.

Forks is the nearest place to shop and that’s 30 miles away.
We were obligated to go out for urgent phone calls and the lines to get back in were very, very long. At least one hour in line to get back into the park.
