Beautiful campsite! The rainforest is quiet and far away from any traffic noise. The campgrounds are walking distance to the visitor center and trailheads. This area of the park is very crowded so it's nice to have a guaranteed parking space!

Site A31 was pretty ok, but was just kind of on the grass in full view of nearby sites that were also on the grass. We had some trees on one side of our site, but 80% of the day the site was in direct sun. Overall the campground is good, bathrooms were clean but no soap. Firewood is sometimes available in loop B but not the night we were there. Great location near the Hoh Rainforest trails. Loved being able to drive into this part of the park in the evening to avoid lines of cars earlier in the day.

Our campsite was nice, the rainforest is gorgeous and all the rangers were very friendly.
Downside no soap in the bathroom. I left soap on two occasions and it was stolen on both occasions. The main bathroom by the visitor centre has soap but not in the campground. This is not a bear prevention method as the garbage was uncovered in the bathroom!
There is no ice. I asked a ranger and it would be a 2 hour drive for ice and you would need to arrive late at night to avoid a long wait on the way back in.
The staff need to streamline the arrival process and have staff pre checking people in as they wait so not everyone needed to pay at the gate. This is an unacceptable and avoidable wait with more staff pre checking. This is also horrible for the environment to have vehicles idling for 1-2hours. We arrived at 530pm and got in around 645 ( we had a park pass and camping reservations).

This is a beautiful part of the park, well worth the wait to get in (try getting in early morning to avoid traffic). The campsite was also very well maintained and a short walk from several trail heads. Would highly recommend!

We arrived at the entrance around 9.40 AM and ended up waiting in line for 2 hrs 45 min. The first toilets were super full and unusable, clearly not properly managed, the last ones were fine but had to walk to them since line was crawling so slow. Overall, this initial impression ruined the whole experience. Campsite was nice, trails good, but not worth this sort of wait. I wish it was better managed to either accommodate everyone or have reservation system of some sort to not allow so many cars to day use at one time. Or allow people with reservations to enter separately. Never again
