It was nice, the bad part was waiting an hour to get into the park to get to our reserved camping spot.

Hi Good People:
My wife and I stayed in Loop A, the Hot Rain Forest campground. It was one of the quietest campgrounds we ever experienced. (Also, according to staff, it has the best cell reception, at least for Verizon from my experience.) The two nature trails are in walking distance from our campsite. They were superb! The staff at the Visitor Center were very helpful with my questions on other campgrounds along US 101. The Rialto Beach and Hole in the Rock are a must see, about one hour or so from the campground. Just remember when coming back into the campground, the later the better as traffic does back up from 10 to 3 according to the National Park Service. Our two times coming back were short waits as they were after 3pm. We will be back!

This is such a beautiful campground! I love the old forest trees and ferns. Nice quiet, clean campground.

Spot 83 was a huge disappointment. We had to leave after one night even though we paid for three (and I wasn’t able to cancel the other two for some reason). The tent spot is within just 2-3 feet of the fire ring so we could not safely have a campfire. Of course this meant the mosquitos and other biting insects were able to go wild. We could not hang at the site. It was unbearable. This site needs to be closed and redone. Keep in mind that the C loop restroom has no hand soap (even in the covid era…shocking).
