My personal favorite Campground, Bumping Lake does not disappoint. My family and friends love getting together in their spacious campsites (most are pretty roomy, but there are a few small ones) and living the good life for a week each summer.
Pros: Lake access is a quick jaunt from any campsite (10 minute walk or 5 minute drive), long sturdy picnic style benches, camp chipmunks, and firepits are standard to each site, trails for exploring are exciting to explore for most ages (not stroller firendly) with "surprises" left behind by previous hikers, deadwood beach is a must see for climbing, photos, and all the thousands of tiny froggies, the lake is gorgeous both by day and by night (you gotta take a moonlit walk and enjoy the stars in all their beauty over the wide open lake) with plenty of room to swim, tables to picnic at, and plenty of shallows next to the boat launch for young swimmers to enjoy. Last year we watched as dozens of brand new dragonflies emerged from their chrysalis and dry their wings all along the deadwood beach (opposite the boat launch). This year we witnessed one ant army (RED) lay seige to another ant army (BLACK) and launch a raid to steal the black army's larvae. It was an epic battle to say the least. We also made friends (ish) with our campsite's resident chipmunk (don't forget to put your food away carefully) and a crew of four very bold birds (Gray Jays maybe). Their is always an adventure just around the corner at Bumping Lake, I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as we do.

I have been camping here for over 18 years and have seen these campgrounds during their ups and downs.
This trip was wonderful. The grounds were well taken care of. The bathrooms were clean and there was someone posted at the day use site to help enforce payment and rules (HUGE PLUS!!).
I am sad that they no longer accept the NW Forrest pass for day use entry, but glad that day-use is included with campground reservation.
I think that the RV dump station SHOULD be included with camping reservation but the signs did not specify this and we ended up paying the extra $10 dump fee.
I’m glad that Bumping Lake had someone on site to manage and direct people using the day use site. I think they could get a whole lot more mo day to improve the grounds. Possibly even put in a few showers!!

I would rate this campsite right in the middle of the pack. First the basics: there are very few power hookups (if any), so I couldn't charge the boat, etc. The place is 40 miles cell phone coverage and 20 miles from any services/convenience store. Maybe both of those are fine for you, but if you run out of ice, you are 40 miles round trip from another bag.
The area is beautiful, the hiking trails around Bumping are exceptional. The lake itself seems awesome, although I didn't catch a fish. The campsites themselves are good. A firepit and a solid picnic table as well obvious tent clearings are present, but sandy/dirt in the campsite can be a bit of pain, getting into everything.
One last note, the camp host seems really hard over on the rules there. Make sure you follow them, menacing/unwelcoming signs posted all over the camp to prevent violations. I asked the camp host a question about fishing, and that was clearly not what he was there for. He had no answer.

One of the nicest campgrounds I have ever camped at. Lots of privacy and space between camping sites. Bathrooms were not stinky. The only negative thing I observed was that the garbage cans were all overflowing throughout the entire campground otherwise it was a great experience and I would go back again.

Really nice campground with spacious spots and nicely wooded areas. Lake is beautiful but be mindful - it gets packed during hot summer days and it can be hard to find a decent spot to set your stuff and hang out for the day.
