A good place to spend your stay in Mnt Rainier Park. The evening had a presentation by a Park Ranger that was excellent. Hiking trails nearby are challenging but the one to the tallest falls in the park definitely should be considered.

We had a lovely stay at Rainier National Park, but the campground could have been a bit better. While there were still the ability to rent spaces for our camper, the dump/fill station was closed and the potable water faucets in the loops didn't have threaded heads so that we could connect to them to fill up on water. Not sure why they were closed early, but it seemed to me that they'd be available if the campground was still open. We had to cut our trip short because of the hassle that this caused.

Ranger was super helpful and welcoming when we came to get a walk-in campsite. Good campground. Watch out for the critters though - a very bold raccoon wouldn't take no for an answer and was going to grab food right out of our hands as we were taking it to the car.

This is a beautiful "primitive" campground; the sites are spacious, which adds the element of privacy as well. It is small and while the first come first served basis can be a little unnerving, the ranger at the check -in station was so very helpful. Close to Longmire, with its many lovely hikes. Note: try to avoid weekends if at all possible!!!!

What a fantastic week. The helpful staff picked a site for us that had privacy yet close to bathrooms. While the campground was busy, it was quiet and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Fall season campers make good neighbors.

Need better kitchen dishes washing station i.e. better user friendly sink and much needed counter space. Very large and quiet site. Backed in our 20 ft travel trailer, leveling was okay.
