Good site with a lot of vegetation surrounding that blocks you from neighbours. Adjacent to the site is the entertainment area where rangers have their programs in the night.
The washrooms in the campground are clean and equipped with the toilet paper. The only thing missing is a soap.

We reserved 2 sites because we couldn't get the group site for 2 nights so 2 of us went the day before. Although we loved our single site and had a great time, early the next day we drove to the group site and there was NO GROUP there!!!! Why did recreation.gov show it was booked? Very disappointing! Eventually our people came and enjoyed the one night at the group site and all in all everyone had a good time which is why I gave this campground a 5* - the restrooms were kept clean (bring your own soap), and there is potable water and hiking trails near the campground and the campground was fairly quiet except for a crying baby that wasn't down with camping. :(

D11 is a lovely, peaceful site with a large, raised tent pad that you have to step up to. Relatively private. Mixture of shade and sun. Highly recommend walking across the road to the river where you will find one of the best views of Mt Rainier and very few people in the early evening. Interesting ranger talks. Just be aware that it is quite a walk (5 minutes+) to the toilet and freshwater tap from this particular site.

The employee who assigned our campsite was very helpful. When we got to our campsite, there was someone already in it. We went back to registration, and she resolved it very easily. The other campers were very agreeable. The campsite was clean. The bathrooms were clean the campground was quiet. Very pleasant stay!

worst night ever in any campground anywhere! large family across the road with 6 adults and 4 young kids. the kids literally screamed ALL night long, off and on. they were totally out of control in the early evening and this continued on into the night. I last got up about 2:30 am and of course the parents were trying to calm the kids, which included opening and closing of car doors lights and finally the kids into the cars and driving them around. same scenario the second night. I understand the challenges of camping with young children but should I to endure their issues? perhaps the young children should be in a specific area so we can all enjoy our paid for campsite. i would accept a refund, please.

it was quiet serine, I took my dog with me on this trip. I was disappointed that I could not take my dog with me on the trails. But, I understand the reasons. We stayed for 3 nights. It the silence helped me to recharge myself. Beautiful views of the mountain and surrounding hills. Waking up to birds chipping and chipmunks clicking. It was great, to get back to nature.

So I have a reservation prepaid for cougar rock campground. Supposedly I should get in into my camping area at 12 noon. However, I can’t even get into the park! In a long line of traffic up to three hours at the Nisqually and paradise entrance. So I have to sit in line edging towards the entrance, even though I have a prepaid campground waiting for me at 12 noon. How does that even make sense??
