Our site was very unlevel. Saw some other sites that were open and tried to change our reservation, but the other sites didn’t even show up in the list. Otherwise it was a nice and heavily wooded campground in a great location.

Cougar Rock Campground was a great stay. The location is fantastic, with so many beautiful hiking trails nearby, and the campground itself was peaceful and very quiet. A huge shoutout to Ranger Jenn — she was absolutely wonderful and gave us so many helpful tips and suggestions for exploring the area. She really added to the experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

Campground as expected. Restrooms good. It's always so frustrating how difficult it is to find availability and to then see so many empty spaces. There were tons of spots.

The campground itself is very clean. It also has a park ranger office that is very helpful with things like trail conditions, wildlife sightings, etc.

We were excited to get a spot for three nights. It was a first come, first serve bases when we went. We were in site R20 which was near the bathroom which we like. We are in a camper van and the ground was not level so needed to use our blocks. Campground was clean and the Rangers were very friendly and helpful.

This is the neighboring spot to a bathroom and trash area. Truthfully, not horribly loud but that'll really depend on your fellow campers. The driveway isn't great for car camping but the tent pad is pushed back a bit making it feel a bit more private than you'd expect. Overall, not a bad spot and best for tents.
