What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch is praised for its stunning natural beauty, proximity to the beach, and great accommodations, making it a favorite destination for many campers. Visitors enjoy the tidepools, beautiful sunsets, and clean facilities, with some noting the helpfulness of the rangers. However, concerns include the need for better maintenance of the campground, issues with broken facilities, and a complicated reservation process. Despite these drawbacks, many campers express a strong desire to return.

Nice place, ocean was louder than a US-101 nearby, so being next to the road wasn't an issue. Would be nice to have a shower on the campground.

Great beach location. Trees helped shelter us from rain. Miles of beach access for walking. Was a little close to the road.

This site (A13) is one of the more spacious sites with an ocean view. The double driveway was able to fit two pickups plus my Aliner trailer. Sites vary greatly and I would not camp here in a site on the road- the log trucks are unbearable. 4 stars because the bathrooms are not good. The one closest to us was in disrepair with only one working stall so there was always a line. No soap (as usual) and the dryer didn’t work. There was no tp for a day and a half. Overall a beautiful campground and beach but camping is a bit rough due to weather (hope for sun), wind (comes with the view sites) and sand. Shout out to ranger Janet Jackson who got our friends a site last minute and took no bull from anybody.

I absolutely love the location. We had a site near a beach path that let to the ocean and spent hours and hours wading, picnicking, beachcombing and flying kites at the beach. It was stunningly beautiful. We felt like one of nature's most beautiful playgrounds was in our backyard. The only gigantic drawback was our campsite. We were in a site that literally had no barrier (not even space) between us and our neighbors. They could hear our conversations and we could hear theirs. Our picnic table were probably no more than 15 feet from theirs. It was like we were sharing a single site. It was hard to pretend that you didn't notice them. So my advice is to read the descriptions of the sites very carefully. Some are very small (not accommodating to anything other than sleeping in your vehicle or a very small tent), some lack privacy and some back up right to highway 101 so the traffic noise is prominent and I think traffic may also even be visible. Bathrooms are rudimentary - aging, cold water only and no soap dispensers. All that said, I would go back in a heartbeat because of the access to the beautiful locale. I would just do a little better job vetting campsites next time.

I loved the campground, very clean, quiet and organized. Our space was more than enough for our car and tent. I think it is small for an RV, but luckily that was not the case. The beach is beautiful, the spot we got was stunning in front of the beach. We had super close "The tree of life", 5 min walking. There is dump containers (bear proof), and accesible restrooms. The only missing thing (to me) was showers services.
