What Guests Are Saying
Willows Campground is a lovely site with plenty of trees and clean facilities, including a well-maintained pit toilet. While some sites are small and close to each other, others, like site #6, offer beautiful river views. There is some freeway noise, but it is less noticeable near the river, and bug activity is minimal during mid-June.

Campground is nice, but river access is limited to certain campsites. Campsites are smaller and some don't have areas big enough for large tents, or they are not level. But the area is beautiful. The river makes the highway sounds less annoying. :)

I have been wanting to stay at this campground for quite some time. I wish that some of these FS campgrounds would stay open year round or at least longer as closing them in September is a bummer. This is a great campground, I was reserved in site 6 but my name wasn't on the sign, so I grabbed site 5 which was the only unreserved river front spot left and I am glad it worked out that way. Site 5 is great, though VERY rocky. It goes along the river and there is plenty of privacy when I set up my tent farther down along the river along with my hammock. There is a nice little "beach" in this site as well. We spent most of our time there and waved at kayakers as they floated by. The restroom door was broken and though it said we could use any key to open it, that was not the case. I do mostly dispersing so I have my own bucket with seat lid and shower tent to use that was definitely a life saver for this situation. The fee was really reasonable as most FS campgrounds are and I was really happy with my stay there. I recommend this campground and for people to support the NFS campgrounds and parks...they are much more reasonably priced and have larger more spread out campsites than the washington state parks do.

Because of the fire farther west on Hwy 12, we did not get to stay at the campground on Sept 9. We got turned around and had to go around the north side of Mount Rainier, and it was going to be too late to safely drive that far.
Is there any way to get a refund for 2 sites because of of natural disaster?
Thanks,
Evan

Decent camp sites with river noise instead of highway noise and clean/stocked pit toilets. Fresh water available!

Beautiful (chilly) river access in campground! Swift current during this visit, with some wading pools along banks loosely constructed of piled rocks. Bathrooms clean and camp amenities (tables, water) working. Camp water great flavor. Road noise loud from roadside/north campsites. River-adjacent sites much easier to hear river over highway. Site #11 would be my top choice spot for next trip. Friendly patrons in campground. No onsite host. Noticeable yellow jackets and other wasps attracted to food, but no chipmunks, raccoons, mice, or other campground pests observed this time. Great swimming at Rimrock Lake - find pullouts along county roads south of lake. Rattlesnakes (plural) on nature trail near Naches. Highly recommend Naches Peak Loop Trail if passing near highway 123 & 410 interchange.

Found the perfect spot for a quick family camping getaway! Nice access point to enjoy the water. The site and campground were quiet and clean. There were bees so be prepared. One of the nicest parts of the trip was our camp host, Summer. She was wonderful to visit with, friendly and welcoming. I saw her and her husband several times. Will definitely be returning!

We had an amazing time here! this campsite was very clean and just absolutely stunning. Photos do not do this site justice! Oh, and there's a path down to the river with a small beach at this site and we didn't realize that until we got there... a wonderful surprise!
