We had a pleasant 2-night stay! About site 3 - its a very large site that sits next to the host and to the road in, but neither detracted from our experience. It's a slightly inclined parking area but our 19' trailer and truck fit perfectly and actually provided some privacy from site 4 across from us. There a short walk to the vault toilets either direction but this site (and site 4) are probably the longest distance from them. To get to the beach is a few minute walk - make sure you wear swim shoes or sandals, it is rocky and the water is fairly shallow for a good distance out. Still a nice swim spot. Overall, it's a nice weekend getaway (within cell service).

Small campground, good amount of privacy between campsites, nice water access. The camp hosts were super nice, and were constantly working. I would like to commend the hosts and Forest Service for maintaining the campground despite all the staffing and budget cuts by the current administration.

Nice campground! The paved roads are great for holding down the dust. The clean water stations are numerous so you're close from any camp site.

It was one of the cleanest camps I have been to. The bathrooms were super clean and always stocked. There were no over flowing garbage. There was not garbage along the road or trails. It was beautiful. The camp hosts were very nice and clearly cared for the camp very well. Thank you

Unexpectedly great CG. Stayed weekdays and it was very quiet with little traffic. Our site was especially shady which was welcome during the hot weather. Clean, restrooms especially clean, convenient trash cans, bear boxes, massive nice picnic tables. Only negative was the speed bumps - watch out, those things are serious; but they serve a good purpose..

I come typically here once a year when I have a weekend trip. Especially in spring. It’s the best place for a may weekend in my opinion. Many kinds of mushrooms grow and it’s fun to see them and the wild strawberries are coming out. Everything is lush and green and gorgeous. This trip the hosts kept everything immaculately clean. Vault toilets and no showers. Clean fresh water from the water stations. The reason we do this campground for spring is because it’s too soon for swimming which is not its greatest asset. The beach here is rocky and the current is strong. So for this reason when it’s warmer I go up the river to other campgrounds with better swimming. I have kayaked here but the current was strong and it was hard to come back it’s probably better in summer. Very close to town but far enough do silence. So many birds including our new friend the woodpecker. Great for walking small kids around the nature trail with educational plaques that teach about native life both plant life and the kalispel tribe. The sites themselves are great I don’t think you can go wrong. I liked this site I’m interested in site 4 for a future trip it looks really pretty . Site 14 is huge if you have a large group. Site 13 is difficult if you have physical challenges pick a different one. Firewood is available but a guy down the street sells bundles from his field for 5.00 good ones. The grates for cooking on the fire have improved and their picnic tables are amazing. Hope that helped. Oh and bathrooms are near pretty much all the sites there is one about every 4-5 sites.
