Nice campground, quiet. The kalispell tribe nature walk was cool.

Large sites, plenty of trees, and clean restrooms. Really a little jewel of a park. It is a little close to civilization (Newport and Oldtown are less than 10 minutes away) but if you hate disconnecting completely from the outside world while camping you will find it easy to get cell coverage here. We were here during the heat wave in Spokane, where temperatures hit 104 degrees, but it was much cooler and far more comfortable at Pioneer.

Interpretive trail was wonderful to walk and great for family experiences. The Pend O'Reille River and shoreline was so much fun and a great place for rafts, paddle boards, etc.

It is a very private campground, you feel like you are in the middle of the woods with nobody around, it is quiet and relaxing, lots of trees around and shade. It is good for kayaking and fishing. Definitely I will com back.

This was our first visit. As long as they have the same camp host we'll be back. The camp host was conscientious, efficient, and very friendly.

Bring a small tent!

Fortunately we travel with multiple tents and this site (#7) would only accommodate our backpacking tent. The setting is nice but there is also a lot of road noise from nearby highway. Would not stay here again.

We love this campground! You can go down to the river and swim. There is a small hike to some interesting Indian artifacts. There is water but no dump station. There is a dump station at the FS campground about 6 miles to the east.

Definitely not my favorite place. Just to get into my site i had to jack knife my trailer then there was barley enough room to open my awning. I was lucky though. On the one way only loop there is a spot that you have to go the wrong way to even get into the spot, no matter what you tow. There is a spot that is up a hill and the only level/flat ground is maybe 10 ft long then you have the rest of your camping site on the steep hill. The water is not close really. Very shallow. You can actually walk to almost the middle of the lake and I'm just above 5ft tall. Worst part was it smelled like dead fish.
