What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

I loved everything about my stay here except Loop H site 8 and 9 had very unclear boundaries and very close. But otherwise beat camping trip so far!

Loved it! Right on the Cowlitz River. Campground was hardly full when we stayed during the 4th of July weekend. Close to Packwood and all their services. I’d recommend getting a spot on the river for the best experience.

Awesome campground, sites spread apart with trees giving privacy. Port-A_Poties, while not my favorite restroom option we’re very clean and well stocked. Oh, and the stars were amazing!

Nicely wooded, decent privacy in some sites, also some sites are riverfront which is nice. Clean campground, nice hosts. Unfortunately our side of the campground was relegated to using porta potties but at least they were clean. Also they ran out of firewood which was a bummer. Overall, a really good, clean campground with access to the river and trails.
