What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

This is a very lovely campground situated next to a beautiful river, in amongst old growth firs, cedars, and yew trees. The bathrooms are clean, and there are water spigots interspersed throughout the campground. There is a swimming hole, the Blue Hole, where the water is deep and cold. This is a good camp for exploring the trails on the east side of Mt. Rainier NP, around the Ohanapakosh and Sunrise areas.

Sites along the river are more brightly lit (or warmer, depending on however you want to interpret it). Plenty of clean toilets. Area was well-maintained and relatively quiet for being a developed campground. I'd stay here again.

We spent two nights in this campground. Our campsite was nice in sunny place, clean and very spacious. Toilets was close to campsite but unfortunately was under reconstruction. There was enough of Toi Toi toiletes which was clean. Water tap was just beside our site. Nice campground.

Nice campground but sometimes overrun with large groups that are noisy and don’t respect quiet hours but stay up talking and laughing loudly or playing music past 10 pm quiet hours.
