What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

A very nice and spacious campground. Just idyllic for your mountain forest campground. Will definitely stay again in the future!

La Wis Wis locates very convenient place to access Mt.Rainier National Park, which is 15 to 20 minutes to drive to the entrance. The National Park provides so many hiking trails and dramatic views to enjoy.
The campground was surrounded by big trees and so quiet and cozy, The wooden table we had looked 30 or 40 years old with very rough surface, but it was nice to share such a historical table that so many people should have stayed at the same camp site and had a good time.
There was a beautiful stream running by the campground, which people can walk around, rest and enjoy the sound of stream. Overall, the campground was well maintained and we had a good time there.

We come here every year. Hike up to Purcell Falls, walk the creek bed, camp out under the old growth forest and spend every afternoon at the Blue Hole swimming hole. I can't recommend this campground enough.

The Group site we stayed at indicated 12 capacity. Absolutely not true if visitors had tents. Even with 6 tents, appropriate space was not available.
Plenty of toilet paper.
