Nice campground especially in early September. We got in on a 4-day in advance reservation which was a little nerve-wracking as we had to do it mid-flight. Nearby Ancient Grove "hike" (really just a walk in the woods) is quite lovely as is the Sol Duc Falls trail. My one complaint about this and other national park campgrounds is there are no showers. Wish I had known that before planning a 2-week vacation to a number of national parks in the Pacific Northwest! we ended up paying for a visit to the hot springs just to use the shower afterward. The hot springs themselves are just not my thing--too hot and smelly and always things floating around in the water.

The "RV" campground is just a gravel lot with three rocks separating each parking space. About as much privacy at parking in a store parking lot. There was no camp host in the RV campground, so there was no one to assist when one of the campers decides to play music on amplified speakers for hours on end. Didn't want to put up with this four nights in a row, so left the same day I arrived at Sol Duc Campground.

The campground is nothing short of spectacular. Clean, quiet, stunning, flawless!
The hot springs and lodge was good, but could definitely use substantially more cleaning efforts in the pools, restrooms, locker rooms etc. nice facilities, but the upkeep was notably lacking.

Beautiful and shady campground. The sites were a short walk from the resort, where I could enjoy the hot springs and take a shower !
I think the (2 mi?) trail from the campgrounds to the Falls Trailhead could use some work. Unlike other park trails, which seemed well maintained, this one had a lot of fallen trees and overgrown bushes that you just had to clamber over or find other ways around. I decided to do this instead of try to find parking at the busy trailhead, but if I did this again I’d probably just drive up to the trailhead :)

Campground is beautiful, however spots are exceptionally close together. Went to the hot springs. They were overpacked, a child threw up at one of the pools, so that soured that experience. Had dinner at the restaurant which was absolutely one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. Food was served cold by the absolute most disinterested in doing the basics of their job waitstaff.

From the east: From Port Angeles, take Hwy. 101 west for 29 mi, then turn left onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 mi to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
From the south: From Forks, take Hwy. 101 north for 28 mi then turn right onto Sol Duc Hot Springs Rd and travel 12 mi to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.

The campground is accessed via State Route 101, which is approximately 20 miles to the south.

Policies & Rules
General
- The Mineral Hot Springs & Pool access will be in sessions:8:00 AM - 9:30 AM10:00 AM - 11:30 AM12:00 PM - 1:30 PM2:00 PM - 3:30 PM4:00 PM - 5:30 PM6:00 PM - 7:30 PM2026 pool access fees are $19 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12 and $15 for seniors over 62 years old per session. Towel rentals are $5. You may bring your own towel. Lockers are available, but locks are not provided. Children under the age of 4 may only access the smallest hot spring pool and the swimming pool.
- Caution: Wildlife including bears and raccoons frequent the area. All food and coolers (regardless of contents) must kept in approved animal proof containers.
- Pets must be kept on a leash up to 6 feet in length at all times. Pets are not allowed on National Park trails at any time.
- No loud music or sound (including generators) between the hours of , and .
- Please verify you know your site prior to arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with the front desk at the resort or the camp host.
- The National Park Service charges entrance fees at the entrance station on Sol Duc Road. Refer to the park Fees and Passes page.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
