I love this campground. It’s my second time visiting. The campground is clean, well looked after, and pleasantly quiet with campers all around. Everyone was respectful of keeping noise level down. The toilet area was clean. Hikes were great! Campsites are very close to level.

We had a delightful overnight at Sol Duc Lodge. We soaked just after we arrived and then again after check out. The rooms were simple, but cozy. It had everything necessary for comfort — a soft bed, ample towels, in-room coffee, warm lighting, and the quiet stillness that only comes from being far off the beaten path. The Lodge has a decent restaurant, but with limited hours, so pay heed! We packed up after breakfast and walked over to the trailhead to hike up to Mink Lake. It was a perfect excursion after enjoying the hot springs and a quick lap in the cold plunge pool. Ideally I think one might want to stay two nights to get more time in the pools.

The RV campground is cramped with no privacy between sites. There is minimal space for parking your vehicle next to your RV. It is walking distance to the hot springs, which are ok but nothing special, just pools with different temperatures of mineral water, and not really clean, kind of cloudy with lots of bugs floating around in the water. The facilities are bare bones there, no shower curtains or changing rooms, small spaces with wet floors. The restaurant is small with no atmosphere but the food tasted great after a long hike.

We had a wonderful time at Sol Duc Hot Springs! In our opinion, some of the best hiking on the Olympic Peninsula is right here — we hiked up to Mink Lake this time and it was another great trip. The hot springs are always a treat after a good hike.
For the price of the room, we felt it could have been a little cleaner, but overall the experience was still very enjoyable. If you want to avoid the crowds, definitely go to the earliest soaking session they offer — it makes all the difference!

Very convenient location to camp, near the salmon cascades and great hiking. Also has its own trail to the hot springs resort. Some camp sites are better than others regarding space to spread out and privacy from other sites or the road.
