It is located by a beautiful lake. Nice camping lot, neat, surrounded by bushes, some privacy; big picnic table.
I prefer stay in the walk-in camping spot, only few steps from parking lot, but more privacy.
It's not too far to drive to a nearby trail, or even to the beach.
If well prepared, camping is an economical option compared to staying in a hotel.
This time, I would like to express my special thanks to Isaac, who manages the campground. He is helpful.

Love this place and will contiue to return! The camp hosts are friendly and very helpful. Bathrooms are clean and plenty of trash cans near the parking lot to dispose of garbage.
This was first time booking a yurt and wasn't disappointed. Beds were comfy and I love the back deck area for just chilling and absorbing the beauty of it all. There is one outlet with 2 receptacles for plugging in your electronics, there is also a built in heater but didn't need it for this trip with the warm weather we were having. I'd recommend bringing a cart or wheeled cooler since this is the last yurt on the path and furthest from the parking lot. Pack light and make it easier on yourself LOL. There is a tent spot (#49 I think) right next to your table/firepit area so book it too If you want more privacy or friends joining.

Beautiful forest and lake. Sites are far apart and private. Cleanest campsite ever. Really a gem.

We usually camp in our tent camper but decided to "splurge" and stay in a pet friendly yurt. It was AMAZING. We had so much fun in it and in the area. The bunk beds and futon are super comfortable. Sitting on the deck looking over the lake was so relaxing. We were glad for the heat as it was quite chilly and wet the first couple days. But that didn't stop us from hiking along the lake trail and going to visit some of the most incredible waterfalls. We actually loved not having internet or cell service. If you truly want some peace/quiet and getting away from it all - this place is it. And the staff at the campground is so friendly and helpful!!! One recommendation, if it helps anyone else, is that we brought a little wagon to transport our belongings the few yards to the yurt. It's not necessary but it saves some trips back and forth. We can't wait to come again.

Very pretty campground. Our site was next to the interpretive trail, which is well worth doing! I’d highly recommend.

The campground is so well maintained and the staff goes above and beyond bringing firewood directly to your site. Despite the rain, we had a great time!

The yurt was a fun alternative to tent camping. It sleeps 5 comfortably but we squeezed in 6 (3 of those being small, child bodies). The walk-in aspect wasn’t too bad as we had lots of “helpers”.
The kids enjoyed riding their bikes everywhere. The grass “beach” area was covered with goose poop so thankfully we had no intentions of swimming, being too early in the season anyway.
The walking path down to the dam was an enjoyable experience.

The hosts get 10 stars because they are the nicest host I have met over the years. They were very welcoming, kind, and helpful. Working all day around the campground and then in the evening walking around the campsites and handing out candies to children and checking in with guests. You are awesome! Thank you!
The campground itself is nice too (pretty setting, clean bathroom with running water, etc.) but some sites are just WAY too close to each other.

5* however the bathrooms wouldn't flush properly the day we were leaving.
