This is a lovely park. It is one of the most beautiful parks I’ve been to. The campsites are large and spaced out with lots of room. They are kept up well. The host we had was a Canadian who couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Always a smile and a cheerful word. We took lots of walks to the lake, the dam, the trail behind the dam and the one around the lake. The lake is great for kayaking or just enjoying a paddle around the picnic area. We didn’t use the picnic area at this time except to launch our kayak. but it is a large grassy area on the lake with lots of picnic tables. We will definitely come back.

Grounds were well maintained. Site 056 is surrounded by trees and walk-in only, so despite being behind the bathroom building and able to see the occasional camper pass on the camp road, it feels very secluded and quiet. Our two dogs and did very well on a tie-out at this site. The next day we took the 20min drive to Spoon Creek Falls for a swim, which made the visit a 10/10! If expecting rain bring a shelter as there is only a picnic table and fire ring available.

This is indeed a wonderful place to camp: nice forest, beautiful lake, larger camp sites with space between them. We arrived late in the season so we were able to change camp sites to one just at the edge of the lake with a beautiful view.
There are several comments here about having to come in on dirt roads. That does unfortunately happen if you follow Google Maps. However, if you follow the directions on Recreation.gov, you have no travel on dirt roads at all.
