the camp hosts were amazing! the trail around the lake needs clearing in a couple of difficult to walk places.

Road getting in is rough, and when the sun comes out, so do the mosquitoes…with a vengeance. That said, the lake is great, nearby hikes are fantastic. Definitely try to get sites outside the loop, more spaced out and more privacy. We were on the inside of the loop and were so close to the neighboring sites that at night we could hear even the slightest move of the neighbor’s sleeping bags.
We will definitely be back, will stay longer, and choose a more spaced out site.

We had a wonderful stay at the lake but were surprised by the relentless amount of flies this late in the season (mid August). I would definitely pack a screen house if heading up that direction.
