I love this campground near the Skagit river. There’s hiking to Newhalem, the Ladder Falls hike, bridge over river and huge Cedars! The history of how all the hydroelectric dams were built at Gorge Dam is amazing.
The Rangers and Summer personnel are nice in the National Park.

The camping ground is close to river. There are a lot of big trees. The camping size is big.

Great campsite for our group of 4 & a dog. There was a fire ban when we went so make sure to check before heading over to campsite. Vault toilets were generally clean; this site # is near enough for convenience but far enough so it doesn't smell so I appreciated that. Site had flat base for 1 of our tents. The only downside was the proximity to the site next to us since the bushes were not that big enough to create a feeling of distance. Close access to river & we got some fishing in! Would come back again!
