Nice campground. Nice that it is so close to the river. We didn't see any wildlife in the campground other than mosquitos. The drinking water was good. The restrooms were clean. We were pleasantly surprised to have good cell coverage in the campground.

Decent size campsites. Very clean and well swept. Appreciated the bear box and the tent area setup.

This site is by the highway so it can get loud. However, during the time I stayed WA 20 was closed beyond a certain point due to forest fires and therefore trucks weren't able to use this highway anyway. That made it quite peaceful at night. Potable water right across and the river is a few feet away. This site is so much nicer than the ones we have up here in Canada.

Our camp site had a great view of the river. Access at the day area was great-sandy beach and lots of space for kids to play.

Site 19 is probably the best camp site in this entire campground for a single family. If you plan on having more than one tent, space will be more limited, but for one tent and one vehicle, this site had the perfect amount of space, and nice spot by the river that is hard to beat. Also, the water tap, and pit house were within 30 yards of the site.

Located in the North Cascades national park, the general location is marvelous. However, the campsite is quite close to Highway 20, which is heavily trafficked by cars, vans and air-braking logging trucks 24/7. Some of the camp sites are farther from the highway, closer to the beautiful river and quieter. Unfortunately the campsite only has pit toilets; no showers or sinks in contrast to nearby Newhalem Creek, which is also farther from the highway. River access is easy and the sunset on the river is a must-see.

Campground is fine but very bare bones - they have water and electricity - add some showers! No campground should be complete without showers. Electric water heaters exist.

Although relatively primitive with pit toilets, nighttime’s quiet and without any extra lights that come with bathrooms. The river is easily accessible which is fun. Plus, Newhalem is also close by for random needs.

The campground and site were beautiful and shady. The site was not large, but had sufficient space and was easy to access. I loved that it had big bear boxes, as it helped with both space and safety. There were two bathrooms, which were clean, and the water station worked well. The campground is right next to the visitor center, so it was convenient. A rafting company also used the raft launch area as their launch, so it would be handy if you wanted to book a raft trip while in the area!
