What Guests Are Saying
Lower Falls Campground features spacious, well-maintained campsites with ample shade and beautiful riverside views, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The breathtaking nearby waterfalls and numerous hiking trails enhance the camping experience, although the campground lacks adequate water stations and has issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment, helpful camp hosts, and the opportunity to disconnect from technology in a picturesque setting.

Need to have grey water stations and fresh water station inside campground. Everybody is always looking for the fresh water and cannot find it. Frustrates campers.
Big plus: create a safe path to the lower water fall from the campground.

Nice spacious campsites under trees with plenty of shade. Vaulted toilets & water available at campground. Road can & is a bit rough in places.
The waterfall is less than a 10 minute walk from the campground. About a 15 foot scramble down a rooted bank to riverside. Theres a rope there to assist. The Lower Fall is spectacular. Ankle deep shelf around a plunging pool beneath the falls. I was there on a 90 degree day. Mist from the falls and walking on the shelf was pleasant and refreshing. The pool is very cold, even then. Be careful trying to cross river. Not deep or necessarily fast water but rocks are finely polished and extremely slick.
Trails lead to middle and upper falls. I took less than two hours and hiked to the middle falls including some hangout and exploring time.
Really cool place. Pack a chair to the falls and hang out. Area right above the falls is nice as well.

So overcrowded from day use that people were all over the campground and in our actual campsite. All the bathrooms were so disgusting and smelled so bad that you couldn’t stay in more than a couple seconds. Campers were literally just going to the bathroom at their sites.

Beautiful and spacious campsites! Lots of room for tents. The sites are decently far from each other, too, so it feels like there is good privacy.
I'm not sure why it says 1 car only, because there is plenty of room for at least two cars in the parking spot.
There is no cell service anywhere at the campground, which is not surprising. It's pretty remote.

We camped the last weekend of the season. We were happy to get a last minute trip in. From Sandy during work hour traffic it was a 3.5 hour drive. The falls are absolutely stunning. We will deff return!

My camp site was perfectly clean and attractive. The only improvement to the campground would be to have all the water pumps in operation (one was out of order) and easier to pump.
