Campground was clean with ample sized sites. Bathrooms were clean, but shower should be updated soon. Greeted at the entrance by a very friendly and helpful Park volunteer. Trails were nice.

Trout Pond is an excellent campground with hot showers, swimming beach, playground, group picnic shelters, picnic area, boat ramp, lots of kids to play with on the weekends, and a resident pair of Whip poor wills. We always try to get a hook up site for our camper. We always have a good time there, the staff are friendly, the restrooms clean, and the deer plentiful. All of our grandchildren loved it, and our current little camper, age 9, can't wait to go back. Reserve early, and bring all of your groceries, this is in the woods. A great family campground, and a good choice.

We really liked our stay and I would rate this as one of the better campsites in the area. First, the bathrooms are well equipped, modern, and best of all, CLEAN. Second, the pond/beach rec area is just a long walk or a short drive, and also clean and well put together. Third, the tent pad was big, level, and uniform fine sand/gravel and free of rocks and roots.
Our big 6-person tent fit just fine. About the only word of advice I would give is to stop at the little firewood self-serve hut on Rt. 16 (from Lost River just shy of the turnoff into the rec area) - the wood is aged/dry and inexpensive.
