Bathrooms wasn't very clean at times, people was noisy at night, grass wasn't cut and bees was thick other wise a nice trip.

This is one of our favorite WV campgrounds. However site E2 is absolutely horrible. It took me 1.5 hours to get camper level and when it was finally level the camper steps were over a foot off the ground. So much so the door met me at eye level. Second day in my wife fell down the final step because what I had to build up with 6x6 blocks was not sturdy enough due to the unleveled site. Spent a whole evening in the ER. She ended up breaking two ribs and had severe bruising on her arm and butt. If that’s not enough we had to level picnic table with wood as well and it still flipped over but luckily no one was hurt. Also, they are not keeping up the grass like they have in the past which is quite disappointing. For a federal campground and as much as they charge per night they need to put some of that money back into it. Leveling up the sites and even concrete pads would go a long way to making this campground first class. All in all we love this campground and will always be back but will never stay in E2 again.

A bit of a travel from I-75 and truly off the grid. We opted for a full hookup site which was narrow, weedy, and not level (as we’ve gotten used to at other COE parks we’ve stayed). Pleased to see how campers, families and couples alike, truly love this campground enjoying swimming, boating, hiking, and bike riding. A friendly deer would visit our loop daily. Toured the historic area and enjoyed the beauty of this campground.
