I have always enjoyed the Stewart recreation area. Better enjoy it why we can, the invasive species of plant life & bugs are slowly destroying are woods. I don’t like the reservation camping, I like first come first get camping.

Loved having a camping spot in a loop so the kids could ride bikes around us keeping an eye on them. Private spot.

The campground at Stuart Park is one of our favorites. The sites are secluded and well spaced. The campground is well maintained and the host is friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful quiet campground with many spacious sites. Well kept and the camp host was super kind and helpful. Nice swimming area at the river. Only thing lacking, in my children’s opinion, is there is no playground area. We will camp here again!

Camp sites are very nice, spacious in rhododendron. Paved sites, some have a drop off. All bathrooms are pit toilets except the main bath house, which has showers (it could be a little more up to date). Quite. Next to the recreation area, which has big fields and near river. Host very helpful.

The Stuart Recreation campground is well maintained with plenty of trees for privacy between each site. Each site has electric and there are plenty of water faucets. The Day use park is beautiful. It has a small sand beach with bath house--3 covered pavilions to rent and plenty of single picnic tables through out plus fishing in the river. Elkins is just a short drive from the campground.

We had our company picnic at the large pavilion. The grounds are well kept and the staff was very helpful. There was plenty of space for our large group. Definitely recommend!
