We have been using this area for our family reunion for the past several years! Very nice facility and the attending staff are always helpful and very congenial.

I’m a retired West Virginia State Park superintendent. Start recreation area is a beautiful and extremely well maintained facility. This is my second trip there both times I attended a meeting and one of the shelters. The CCC shelters have been extremely well maintained and are in good condition. The campground attendant was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. As was the attendant working at the lower area the only slightly negative comment I have is that the public bathroom I was in was not in the greatest shape, although it was clean.

The campground was wonderful. We met so many nice people, the area was clean and sites were comfortable and spacious. The camp host was amazing, very helpful and super kind. We were given so much information on what to do and where to visit while in the area. The bathroom was clean and really close to our site. We definitely recommend it there and will visit again.
