We have been going here for many years and just love the campground and the lake.
It's very well ran and the bathhouse is kept very clean.
Reservations are getting much harder to get. This is a huge negative...

Lots to do and direct lake access from most sites. We had a non-electric, tent-only site and were hoping for a more wooded setting, but there were at least some trees at the back of the site. Our primary hesitation to return is the lack of insects and wildlife that should come with a camping experience. We were there in mid-August for four days and we didn’t see insects other than some ants, not even after dark with lanterns on. Nor did we see the typical squirrels, raccoons, opossums, etc. that are typical when camping. We left with concerns about what actions (sprays, etc.) were being taken to prevent nature at the site. Due to these concerns, it not likely that we will return.
